At Hope and Grace we understand the complexity of this problem and since our State, County and Probation only have few approved programs that provide Domestic Violence services we have to offer this services in the approval basis from such providers and sources. However our experience in the field has showed us that many programs fail short to providing solution for batters to change their violent and aggressive approach to everyday problems; leaving an empty space for personal changes, because those programs are sending the message of "these classes are your punishment". We also have see the bias against batters from the opposite sex, which doesn't help the batters to understand that changes must be made to avoid the continuance of the violent cycle.
We offer a holistic approach to Domestic Violence and this classes are not intended to be a Physiological treatment or personal Theraphy and we the case required some of those approaches we refer the client to the appropriate agency with the appropriate services.
